Boost volunteer positions on your LinkedIn profile
- This quick fix on LinkedIn has helped me network faster and gain more opportunities with hiring managers, partners and vendors alike, and it's super easy. Adding volunteer experiences on LinkedIn is a great way to find commonality with people. Maybe you both volunteer at a dog shelter or maybe you love mentoring young people. Whatever it is, it's a fast way to bond with somebody in an interview or at a networking event. Let's add volunteer experiences to your LinkedIn profile. Navigate over to your LinkedIn profile and click the button that says add section. It will bring up three choices. We want the third one here that says additional. From there, look at the bottom. The second to the last ones says add organizations. That's what we want. Add in your volunteer organizations here. This way it shows up on your LinkedIn profile and is an easy way for you to bond with others. The faster we can get others to see the commonality with you, the better.
