- I am just going to say it right up front. I think everyone needs some first aid training. Whether your company provides it because it's part of your responsibilities in your workplace, or you just go out and find it yourself. Get some first aid training. If you ever need it, you'll be really glad you did. Injuries happen every day and knowing what to do first is really important. Even in those bad scenarios where you're going to call for medical help, those minutes before the trained professionals arrive can make a big difference. This is definitely one of those situations I mentioned at the beginning of the course where your training is done to benefit both you and your coworkers. If someone badly cuts themselves and begins to panic, do you know how to help them? If they have a heart attack, can you administer CPR?
