- Imagine you've made a sizable donation to an organization. You're feeling great about helping others and furthering the organization's mission. But you never hear from them again. As a fundraiser, you never want to neglect a post-gift follow up that tells donors about the impact their gift is making. It really does pay to go the extra mile. In this video, I will tell you how to maximize your donors by making them feel special. In your follow up message, you must provide your donors with a sense of closure. Donors want to know the specific impact of their giving. Make them the star and let them know that they make your work possible. Use impactful language when reporting the specific results of their gift by saying, "Our goal was met because of your gift."
