- So you've planned your event down to last detail. You've received a great number of RSVPs and all the planning is in place. Great. You've already completed one of the biggest hurdles, getting perspective and current donors in the door. I'm going to share some techniques for seizing the opportunity to get them even more excited about your mission and vision, while identifying and cultivating donors and moving these donors to greater giving levels. Here are four things you can do to make sure you execute a successful event and leave a lasting impression with your attendees. Run a tight ship during check-in. Enlist staff and board members to stand in front of reception tables, welcoming all attendees enthusiastically.
