- [Instructor] Are these no-code tools I'm about to share with you designed to replace developers, development teams and coding? Spoiler alert: nope. Rather than taking work from developers, no-code tools free up developers to work on more interesting and challenging projects. These tools are usually targeted at three audiences. First up, the in-house skunkworks tool creator. 20 years ago, technically knowledgeable people would routinely use Microsoft Access and similar tools to code up a quick solution to some internal company problem. Frequently, this was a solution to an internal workflow issue or something similar. The app was needed within the company only and would not be customer-facing in any way. These people are still around now, but instead of creating a tool for the single office, they are creating mobile and cloud-based tools for simplifying workflows that might be used across offices.
