Hello again, our journey through the CSF core continues as we explore the Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover functions. These functions are more straightforward than Govern and Identify. Protect involves proactive measures to mitigate risks, while Detect focuses on identifying when security events or incidents occur. After an incident, we must respond to manage the situation and recover to restore our systems. As in Lesson 2, we'll break down the categories within each function, highlight key subcategories, and provide real-world examples of their implementation. By the end of the lesson, you'll have a solid grasp of the hierarchy and terminology within CSF Core.
