- [Instructor] This simulation would be completely blank if we didn't assign any tasks. What a task is, is essentially a construction operation. Everything we do in the timeline is going to be dependent upon the tasks we put into it. By assigning tasks, we can actually start to virtually build our model from the ground up. The objective of this video is to create a new task and assign a timeframe to it. So let's do it. Let's jump into Navisworks and we're going to jump into that structural model. Now that we already have a configuration in place which is existing to remain, let's come back to the tasks tab. Let's click on add task. Now, with the name, let's widen this. New task is no good, so click into here. Let's call it Earth, and hit enter. That'll put a new task underneath it, but that's fine. We can select that.
