Adding a data source
- [Instructor] Now, wouldn't it be cool if we could just run down to estimating, ask them for a schedule, that's already been filled out, and bring it in the Navisworks? (chuckles) Well, we can do that. We can grab something from either Microsoft Project, Primavera, or even a dumbed down CSV file. The purpose of this video, is to bring in a CSV file, and auto-populate as many fields as possible, with an actual construction schedule. So, let's make sure our structural NWD model is open, and on the TimeLiner, let's go to Data Sources. Right here, we have an add data source. Notice what we can get, CSV import, a Microsoft project, either an NPX, or a 2007 to 13, and whatever flavor of Primavera, you may be using. Let's click on CSV imports. I'm going to browse where I'm keeping my exercise files, I'll go to my TimeLiner folder, and I have a TimeLiner.csv, let's click open. It's going to be a couple different choices, for task…
