- [Instructor] Under the European Union's AI Act, providers of high-risk AI systems have many responsibilities. One of the most critical requirements is to implement a post-market monitoring system. Let me introduce you to Article 72 of the AI Act, which defines requirements the providers must satisfy once their high-risk AI system is available to EU consumers. First, providers must establish and document a post-market monitoring system proportionate to the risk of the high-risk AI system being monitored. This means that the monitoring system will look and feel different across providers. I expect the AI board and commission to release more guidance on proportionality as compliance is enforced. The monitoring system must actively and systematically collect, document, and analyze data collected from deployers and the system itself.
