Importer and distributor obligations

- [Instructor] Often, the companies responsible for designing and developing the latest and greatest applications, tools, and devices do not handle the delivery of those products to customers. They rely on a network of partners to help package, handle, and deliver those products to consumers, especially when the organization is serving a global market. The expectation is that high-risk AI systems will be no different. Importers will continue to be relied on to assist with the importing of products from non-EU countries, while distributors will be relied on to handle and distribute AI systems and products around the EU. Both stand to gain a lot of business as the artificial intelligent market continues to grow. However, if they want to continue to be relied on, they will have to follow a few rules. Article 23 defines obligations for importers of high-risk AI systems, and Article 24 defines similar obligations for distributors. I'll introduce those to you now. Importers and distributors…
