After graduating college, I found a job that seemed to align with my career goals while volunteering with a local nonprofit I loved. Within ten months, I realized my dream job was far from it. I was more passionate about my volunteer work than my 9 to 5. Despite my parents’ objections, I quit my well-paying but soul-draining job and took a trainee role with the nonprofit.
