How to do vocal warmups

When you start speaking, sometimes you croak or your voice sounds thin. This is where vocal warm ups come in. I suggest doing two different types of vocal warm-ups. The first type is more traditional. It's what you might find if you google how to do vocal warm-ups. They also sound a little bit silly. An example would be, mmmmaaaaa mmmmoooo. Doing this really warms up the vocal chords, but for video, you also want your voice to be more expressive so you can warm up the expressiveness of your voice by doing this one exercise. And a big shout out to Dr. J for this one. What you do is you take a piece of text and see it in different kinds of voices. For example, Hi, I'm Nausheen, and I am teaching you to do vocal warm ups. That's me saying it in a regular voice. Now, what if I see it as an angry person who's had a really bad day? Hi, I'm Nausheen, and I am teaching you to do vocal warmups. Or I can say it like a teenager in a 90s romcom. Hi, I'm Nausheen, and I am teaching you to do vocal warmups. You get the idea? Doing these vocal warmups will make sure that you're as expressive and impactful as you can be when you start that podcast interview or that presentation.
