Understanding a recruiter’s role
The recruiter's job is not to help you land the role. Their job is to help the hiring manager find enough options to fill this role. So what does that mean for you? The best way for you to stand out is first for you to think what is the hiring manager looking for in a star candidate? And one of the best ways to do that is to study the job description before even applying. This is what I recommend. Open up the JD and look up five key words and skills that repeat themselves that are highlighted. It's those skills, it's those keywords that you then want to bring up in your interviews and you'll stand out from the rest. Good luck.
