Using sensitivity as a super power

- Would you consider yourself a highly sensitive person? Do you feel a lot? It's a personality trait known as sensory processing sensitivity and it results in increased emotional sensitivity. You feel more than most. You might be more disturbed than others by violence, injustice or feelings of being overwhelmed. You might react strongly to criticism. You might be very sensitive to the moods of others and have a high degree of empathy. The psychologists who developed the concept believe that around one in five people experience this sort of emotional hypersensitivity. So if you feel this way, you are not alone, I'm even one of them. And it might be giving you certain superpowers like increased creativity, deeper trusted relationships and an ability to find beauty in the most ordinary of things. So instead of trying to deny it or run away from it, find ways to embrace it and work with it.
