Promoting yourself

- Picture this. You enter a virtual meeting early and the company CEO is the only other person there. Besides being a little startled, you quickly need to reply to his friendly... - [CEO] "Good to see you. Tell me what you do for us." - The last response you want to nervously blurt out would be, hi, hi. I'm one of your new data analysts. At any point in your career, you are 100% responsible for how your brand is presented. For that reason, keep these three easy steps in mind. Paint a clear picture. Use specific memorable details to make your message stand out. Hi, I'm your 10th hire in data and I have come here on board to help you launch the AI bot idea that you spearheaded. Be humble and authentic. Balance Self-promotion with genuine humility. Your second sentence could be something like you snagged me from your top competitor, so I bring tons of coding experience. Loop back to the audience. Connect your introduction to your listeners' interests to build rapport and make a lasting impression. You might want to engage the CEO or even follow up with a post-meeting email like this. It was so nice to meet you. If we had more time, I'd be curious to know what your inspiration for the AI bot idea came from, and also who do you recommend I choose as a mentor in the company? Self-promotion is essential. Always be prepared and practice regularly so you can become more comfortable and more effective.
