One way to become a charismatic storyteller
- Here's one subtle thing that charismatic people do. When they're asked an interesting question, they don't lead with a boring grocery list of information. Instead, what they do is they lead with a short story as a response. However, if you want to execute on this effectively, follow this simple three-step story framework. Context. This is where you paint a vivid picture of the main character and their desire. Conflict. This is where you insert the drama, which is preventing your main character from getting what they want. Conclusion. This is where you insert the resolution or the transformation of your main character. And then say the following seven words, "Here's why this matters to our conversation." When you say this and ensure that the takeaway of your story is secretly the answer to their question, you instantly boost your charisma.
