- [Instructor] Though MySQL is available on Unix, Linux, Mac OS, Microsoft Windows and Sun Solaris, we will only be discussing how to install on Mac OS and Microsoft Windows. I won't demonstrate installation here, but I will point out where to find the installation packages needed. Let's start with Microsoft Windows. First, open your web browser and using your preferred search engine, type MySQL community edition, as I have done here. Hit enter, then click on download MySQL community edition. Then you're going to select the MySQL installer for Windows and you're going to select the second installer and hit download. You might be asked to log in or sign up for an Oracle web account but you can also skip it by selecting no, thanks, just start my download. And from there, you can download and then double click the installer to install. Now onto the Mac OS install. Go back to Google and type MySQL community edition. This…
