Communicate with a private chat project conversation
If you need to check in with a project team member or a small group of the larger project team, it doesn't necessarily need to take place in an email or the project team channels. Instead, you can communicate with Teams' private chat messages. Let's take a look at a couple of the ways that you can start a private chat. If you don't want to leave where you're currently working within the Microsoft Teams app, there is a shortcut for you to use the search box to send a quick chat. So we're going to come up here to search. Place the mouse cursor in here, and we're going to type the forward slash which is the slash leading to the right. This brings up a list of shortcuts that you can use. Notice there's one in here called /chat. You can select this from the list or you can continue to type it in the search box and then press Enter.
