- Let's talk about the importance of planning. The famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns wrote that even "The best laid plans of mice and men can go awry." But what happens if you don't even have a plan in place? How many more things can go wrong? I don't want you to have to find out which is why this lesson will prepare you to craft a plan of attack for studying for your PMP. Just like you would when you're managing a project. First, let's visit the processes domain. This will be most important for your study plan. Your plan will need to map out the project schedule, your budget and the resources you'll need for the project. I recommend reverse engineering your project. Working backward from the date of your exam and your budget will inform other resources you'll want to acquire to help you study.
