- [Instructor] One of the main target environments for a migration will be cloud, either a private cloud run by the business or a public cloud offering. The use of private cloud services will likely increase as the next generation 5g core networks start to become a reality and businesses will have the opportunity to migrate their legacy applications into cloud based network slice services. The arguments for moving to the cloud are that cloud accessible technologies are readily available and offer not only massive scalability but also advanced capabilities such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. By moving more legacy apps to the cloud, organizations can leverage further smart app competitive advantages. Not all existing applications are a good fit for the cloud.
