Configure data loading for queries
- [Instructor] Okay, so in this sub lesson, we're going to configure data loading for queries. All right, so it is possible to enable or disable loading of a query to the data model. This means the result of said query may or may not be available to the report builder via the data model. This is generally used for intermediate/staging tables as they contain partial data that make up Facts or Dimension tables. So let's go ahead and take a look at this inside of the Power BI Desktop. All right, so I am over on the Power BI Desktop here and I'm taking a look at a query here called Sales and what Sales is, this is a combination or append of Other Country Sales and United States Sales. So if I take a look at Sales here, I'll see the source is a Table.Combine of the two queries up above. Now, as it stands right now, both of these queries are going to get delivered over into the data model, and we don't necessarily want that because they're going to take up space in the model unnecessarily…
