Apply and customize a theme
- [Trainer] Okay, so in this sub-lesson, we are going to learn how to apply and customize a theme. So first off, what is a report theme? So with the Power BI Desktop report themes, you can apply design changes to your entire report, such as using corporate colors, changing icon sets or applying new default visual formatting. When you apply a report theme, all your visuals in the report use the colors and formatting from your selected theme as their defaults. And some considerations and limitations. Themes can be applied only when using Power BI Desktop. You cannot apply themes to existing reports within the Power BI service. So let's go to the Power BI Desktop and take a look. Okay, so I can see that I have a report here with a single visual on it right now. So this is using the current Power BI default theme file. So I have a few options here for going ahead and changing the theme. So I'm going to click on this drop-down box off of the View tab, and here I can go and choose already…
