Now, there are some great built-in conditional formatting rules that we can use, but if you want to dive a little deeper into your data and create your own rules using operators, such as greater than, less than, or equal to, you're really going to enjoy this video. Let's take a look at our 0307 conditional formatting worksheet. Our profit loss statement has a list of all of our products for the first half of the year and how they're doing in sales. In cell D3, I've created a data validation rule and used the product list in column A to create a dropdown menu for people to choose a product from. Our next step for conditional formatting will be to create a rule so when someone selects Canino, for instance, it'll come down and highlight that entire row.
