Implement prerequisites for Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for AI

Let's talk about some of the prerequisites that you need to use data security posture management for AI. As with most modules in Purview, certain requirements need to be in place so that Purview can actually track AI activities and apply the appropriate policies. To start with, we need the correct licenses. So users that are going to be monitored by Purview need to have the correct AI service licenses. So that could be M365 with Copilot etc. Of course your tenant needs to have the correct Purview licenses so ETH5 or ETH5 with compliance. Also Purview audit logging must be enabled for your tenant. This is critical because DSPM for AI uses audit records and other signals to gather AI interaction data. Now, by standard, this is actually turned on for Purview, but you can double check it in the portal if you need to.
