Thus far, we've focused on labeling documents and emails, but Purview's unified labeling can also apply to containers, which is meaning SharePoint sites, M365 groups, Office 365 services like Teams itself, because a Teams team is essentially a group and a site. Because why would we label a container over an individual document? Consider a team that's dealing with highly sensitive content, something like mergers and acquisitions. We can label that entire team and its linked SharePoint site as highly confidential or restricted. And by doing so, we can have the label enforce certain security measures on that container automatically. So it can force the team to be private and members only if it isn't already. We can block adding external guests. We can also restrict SharePoint external sharing, or maybe completely turn it off.
