- [Instructor] Moving on to the fourth and final pillar of an Entra tenant, applications. At the beginning of this chapter, I gave you an overview of how to synchronize users, groups, and devices from Active Directory to Entra ID. There I mentioned that migrating applications is a complex process that depends on various factors. It cannot be done through synchronization tools like Entra Connect or Entra Cloud Sync. An application migration strategy largely depends on the degree of access you have to the application's source code and the platform it was developed on. One, if it is an off-the-shelf product developed by a large software manufacturer, you may not have access to its source code at all. Two, if it is developed by an independent software vendor that your organization contracted, you may have partial or more access to its source code.
