- [Instructor] Before we go too far into Microsoft Entra ID, I want to start demystifying some terminology around the various Microsoft Cloud offerings. And what I'm going to go through now is a list of various terms that I'll be using throughout this course that I want to make sure are clear for you from the beginning. So first, I want to talk about Microsoft Azure. So we are looking at Microsoft Entra in this course, but Microsoft Entra used to be called Microsoft Azure AD or Active Directory and it was really embedded with Microsoft Azure. So Microsoft Azure and Azure AD are really tight at the hip. And let's talk a little bit about what Microsoft Azure is because it is very different than Microsoft Entra or what Azure AD used to be. So Microsoft Azure is Microsoft's primary cloud offering.
