- [Narrator] We all know that people have preferences on how they would like to be contacted. Some like email, some like texts, and other just like a regular phone call. In a lead record in Dynamics 365, in addition to a lead's name, company, and contact information, we can store these contact preferences. We can track different contact channels, like phone numbers or email addresses. To keep track of the communication preferences for each lead, the lead form in Dynamics 365 Sales has a section that's dedicated to that type of information. This section shows what the preferred method of contact is and which communication channels sellers are allowed to use. For example, if the email communication channel is set to Do Not Allow, this means that sellers are not supposed to contact a lead via email.
