- [Narrator] Let's kick things off by introducing Copilot. Copilot for Microsoft 365 is an AI-powered digital assistant for popular Microsoft apps like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and many more. Now, in Excel, which is where we'll focus during this course, Copilot combines the power of large language models like ChatGPT with your OneDrive or SharePoint data to create new formula columns to highlight, sort, and filter your data and to analyze that data and show insights. And the best part is that it does all of this from within the app itself so you never need to leave Excel, and that's where the magic lies here. So, Copilot not only lets you make natural language queries and ask questions within the app, but it can also implement the solutions to those questions by modifying the workbook directly. And ultimately, that's what separates this product from competitors like ChatGPT, which is where we'll focus in the next lesson.
