- [Instructor] Governance, or more specifically, regulations are the fastest evolving aspect of the ESG space. Governments and large organizations alike are seeing the importance of quick adoption of policies that help manage their ESG risks. Every day, new regulations are being introduced by different governments and regions. CSRD, SFDR, and EU taxonomy are some of the most common regulations. The Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC in the US, and the Securities and Exchange Board of India, SEBI also have different ESG/climate related regulations. Eventually, the main goal will be to standardize reporting and ensure that the companies are not doing any greenwashing in their business. Greenwashing is a term used to describe a false, misleading, or untrue action or set of claims made by an organization about the positive impact of that company, product, or service on the environment.
