Microsoft Sustainability Manager supports a wide variety of sources from which you can automatically integrate your business data. Data ingestion includes identifying the various sources that generate emissions, and then connecting the data sources. In this step, you will determine the different scopes and activities that contribute to your organization's emissions. The lack of global standards for calculating carbon emissions is one of the greatest challenges that customers face. However, Sustainability Manager uses dynamic calculation models based on the greenhouse gas protocol to calculate the three different scopes of carbon emissions.
