Exam AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions: Introduction

- Welcome to Exam AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions. I am Paul Furlan and I will be your instructor. I have been working in several fields within the IT industry, starting out at a cyber cafe and hardware shop, to web design and development, Helpdesk, Knock, windows systems administration, and data protection and backup engineering. In my current role, I help developers succeed by supporting the integration and deployment of their code with CI/CD pipelines. These lessons prepare you for the AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solution Certification. In the first lesson, Facilitate Communication and Collaboration, you learn about Azure DevOps processes and boards, as well as several tools that you can integrate into your Azure DevOps projects. In lesson two, Develop a Security and Compliance Plan, you learn about multiple features that you can consider to enhance security, authentication, and authorization. In lesson three, Manage Source Control, you learn how to work with a GIT repository, where you can upload your code to share and collaborate with others. In lesson four, Define and Implement Continuous Integration, you learn how to create YAML and Classic Azure DevOps Build Pipelines, as well as how to package your applications, build and push container images, and implement code quality and security. In lesson five, Optimize Build Pipelines, you learn how to integrate external tools with your Azure DevOps projects, as well as how to monitor and improve the performance of your pipelines. In lesson six, Design Continuous Delivery, you learn how to set up a release pipeline with its dependencies, approvals, and gates, as well as infrastructure, as code and configuration management. In lesson seven, Implement Continuous Delivery, you learn about the different release strategies, as well as multiple release targets where you can deploy your applications to, including manual and automated testing. In lesson eight, Develop a Site Reliability Engineering Strategy, you learn about different solutions that you can implement in order to keep your applications in a healthy and responsive state. In the following lesson, Develop an Instrumentation Strategy, you learn about several Azure tools that you can use to monitor and set up alerts for your applications and infrastructure. And in the final lesson, AZ-400: Latest Topics, you learn about the newest tools and features that are now part of the AZ-400 Certification Exam.
