- Welcome to Module 1: Plan and implement data platform resources. This module consists of three lessons. In Lesson 1: Plan and deploy Azure SQL solutions, we'll begin by looking at the different Azure SQL services, offerings, and their platforms. We'll discuss how to select an appropriate offering based on specific requirements, and then review the different deployment methods available. Lesson 2: Configure resources for scale and performance focuses on the key elements of configuring the different Azure SQL offerings for optimal performance and scalability to get the most out of the SQL solution. We'll then spend a few moments discussing both table partitioning and database sharding at the conceptual level, as both of these topics can help with scale and performance. In Lesson 3: Plan and implement a migration strategy, we'll cover the key elements for migrating to Azure SQL including evaluating requirements and strategies.
