- [Tim] Well, this is some really interesting stuff in my opinion. Microsoft defines knowledge mining as extracting structured info from unstructured content. Think of PDF files, binary files like images in AI 102 land we're talking about Microsoft 365 and Office documents, that's all unstructured binary and zipped up data. But we want to pull data from those documents and those data sources. So we're talking about techniques like data extraction, enrichment, indexing, search engines, discovery. That's what Azure AI Search is. And what you're going to see in this lesson, and the next one is that we'll almost always combine the search function with related Azure AI services. Document intelligence is what we'll use to grab form data for example, AI language services can pull optical character recognition data, and then we index it in Azure AI Search.
