The Office 365 Message Center
- [Instructor] Microsoft is continually making feature changes and improvements to the Microsoft 365 cloud and one way that you can find out about all of these changes that are going on is by taking a look at the Message center. Let's have a look at the Message center and see what this looks like. Right now, I'm logged into Office 365 and I've got the Admin Center open. What I'm going to do is go to Health and then I click on the Message center link and that's going to take us into the Office 365 Message center. Now the Message center is divided into a few different sections and right up at the top, we have a section called major updates. This is where Microsoft shows you all of the things that are most likely to impact your experience. Right here, we have a tile that says, 'General availability of live events in Microsoft 365.' We can see the general availability has already started for this feature and then we have a couple of other features that are being introduced and those are displayed on tiles as well. If we look a little bit further down, we have much more granular list of all of the goings-on with Office 365. Now admittedly, this can be a little bit of long list. Sometimes it can be helpful to narrow this down to help find exactly what you're looking for and the way that you do that is with views. You can see that right now, we're looking at all active messages. What we end up with is a collection of events related to an entire scope of products and conditions. I can narrow things down by clicking on all active messages and when I do that I see that I have some choices between all active messages, unread messages, things that may we want to do the plan for an upcoming change, stay informed messages, issues that are being fixed and messages that have dismissed. Let's say for example that we wanted to take a look at some issues that are being fixed. What I could do is click on prevent or fix issues and you can see that after a moment, the list becomes a lot shorter and we only have two issues and these are all categorized as 'Prevent or Fix issues' and we can see that this one is a feature update to the exchange Auto-Attendant. The other one is an updated feature. It's the Exchange Online mailbox audit to add mail reads by default and if I wanted a little bit more information about these I could simply double-click on it and then I'm taken into a knowledge base article that provides me with really detailed information about that particular item. That's just a quick overview of how the Message center works in Office 365.
