- There's a new Copilot customization setting that I'd like to show you and it's called Custom Instructions. When you enable this and you add your instructions, Copilot will remember how to format the responses. We're going to go to the upper right corner of Copilot Chat and select Copilot chats and more, then select Settings, then select Personalization. We'll select Custom Instructions next, and at the bottom of this window is a toggle switch where you can have Custom Instructions turned on or off. Currently it is set to on. In the box provided is where you will provide your instructions for Copilot. I have my instructions already written and they're copied to my clipboard, so I'll paste them in here. And you can see that I'm asking it to write my responses "In a friendly, warm, and conversational tone, to keep the responses brief when possible, organized like content with headings.
