If you don't want Copilot to create memories or use memories in reference to your chats, and if you don't want the chat session saved within the history, you can start a new temporary chat. This is a new Copilot capability. Here's how to access it. From Copilot Chat, go to the upper right corner, and next to where you would start a new chat, I like to consider these to be standard chats because it will create memories and it will save it in the history. To the right of that, select the downward facing arrow and then select Temporary Chat. Notice the icon associated with this. Once you select Temporary Chat, you can see here at the top that it's Temporary Chat. That icon appears here and in the upper left corner. That's the indicator that this is a Temporary Chat. Now any correspondence that you have here with Copilot, it will not be saved in the history and it will not create memories for future use.
