Creating a Microsoft 365 user
Now that we've learned how to manage users in Microsoft 365, let's go ahead and create a new user in our Microsoft 365 subscription. So to create a new user, I'm going to go under Users in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and then click on "Add a user". If you need to create a large number of users, you can use user templates to use bulk creation methods and then create large number of users at once. So I'm going to click on "Add a user" and I'm going to give the user a name. So we're going to name this user Michael Jones. And that's his display name. The display name will appear when he sends emails, as well as when he's listed in a global address list, a list of all users. Then I'm going to give the user a username. That username will also be his email address if I assign a license to that user. So I'm going to call him MichaelJones. Then I can specify a password for the user as well. It can either be generated automatically by Microsoft 365, or I can manually create a password that…
