- When we're about to do an on-camera interview, we're not just talking about being on TV anymore. In today's world, we may find ourselves giving an interview on camera, through our phones or our laptops. I'll go over how to effectively present so you can look and sound polished. First, video is a visual medium. This means everyone watching will be taking cues as they're watching you. Impressions are being made quickly. So they're judging your competency and your credibility. Because of that, you want to be mindful of how you present yourself through what you're wearing. So a really good rule of thumb is to stick to solid colors, especially when you're on camera. Bold colors tend to do really well. So wear colors like blue, red or even green. They'll allow you to pop. You do want to avoid wearing busy patterns such as having a huge logo on your shirt.
