Patching tracks

- [Instructor] Very soon, we'll be building a sequence from scratch, but one of the important steps in that process is track patching. Now that I've got several video and audio tracks, you'll notice that the source video and audio track are a little outnumbered. If I were to edit this clip that's currently open in the source monitor into the current sequence, I'd have to make a decision about which tracks are going to be used. The process for achieving this is called track patching. I'm going to just navigate over to the right a little here, and I'm going to move my playhead right to the end of the sequence. I don't have in or out points on the sequence. So just as the source monitor uses the playhead as an in point if no other in point exists, so the timeline will use the playhead as an in point as well.
