Weld edges and vertices
- [Instructor] When we combine objects, there are times when we'll want to literally glue them together to make them look like one object. So here I've got the basics of a coffee cup and the handle for that cup. But if we were to select both of these and do say a Mesh, Combine, you'll see that, well, yeah, it kind of is all one object, but we still need to attach that coffee cup to the handle. And we can do that by merging or welding those vertices together. So the first thing I want to do is I want to take a look at what the situation is here. And so you can see that this handle has six vertices on the end. So one, two, three, four, five, six, And then I want to weld it to this spot here, but that only has four. So I need to add in a little bit of extra detail. And I can do that by inserting an edge loop. So let's go into Mesh Tools, Insert Edge Loop. Click right here. Center that as much as I can. Yeah, that's pretty close. And then go into face mode. So right-click, face. And I'm…
