- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at some of the basics of how to unwrap your own models for the UV Editor. Now, we're going to start off with this guy here. Now, I've gone ahead and created the layer that hides most of this character's geometry. We're just going to focus on his chest. And as you can see, I've got a material, but the mapping is all wrong. If we go into Windows, Modeling Editors, UV Editor, you can see that everything's all kind of just on top of each other. So let's go ahead and create our own mapping and then adjust it in the UV Editor. So I'm going to go ahead and hide my Outliner here so we have a little bit more room on the screen. So what we want to do is we want to create a basic UV map that's a little bit more rational. And typically for this, I like to use Automatic. So if we go into UV, you'll see we have a number of different types of projections. I'm going to go to Automatic and just select that. Now, you'll notice that it basically creates a projection…
