Render settings
- [Instructor] Now let's dive into rendering. Now, rendering in a 3D package is essentially the same as photography. You set up lights and cameras and you snap images and those are called renders. So when we set up a render in Maya, we first have to make sure our render settings are in order. So we can go into our render settings window in one of two places. So we go into windows, rendering editors, render settings. But probably the easiest place to get there is to click on this button, it's a little clapboard with the gear on it, and that brings up my render settings window. Now the render settings window can change depending upon which renderer you have selected. Now we are going to be using the Arnold renderer. It's the standard renderer that comes with Maya and it's a great photorealistic professional quality renderer.
