Apply multiple materials to objects
- [Instructor] In Maya, objects can have one or more materials applied. So sometimes you'll have to apply multiple materials to a single object. So let's take a look at this tower. Now, this tower was built by combining a bunch of different polygonal objects. And what we want is we want a bunch of different materials on it as well. Now, I already have some materials set up in this scene. So I've to go into Windows. Rendering Editors, Hypershade. You'll see that I have a couple of materials here. I have a concrete material. I have a material for the light. I have a red and white stripe material. And so on. So I want to apply each one of these to the appropriate place on the model. So, we can do this just by selecting, on a face-by-face basis, those parts of the model we want to apply the material and then applying that material. So it's pretty simple.
