Setting digital marketing objectives
- Whether you are working on marketing your consultancy or framing project objectives, it will help you to have well framed objectives. Marketers, project managers, and performance leaders have been using SMART objectives for the last 30 years. The pneumonic SMART helps us frame objectives, so that they work harder for us. SMART stands for ensuring your objects are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound. By ensuring you have well framed objectives, you set yourself up for a disciplined delivery and a much easier rollout of any program. There are rules for objective setting that I have always found helpful. First, always make sure that your objectives are stated in the singular form. It makes 'em so much more measurable, so objectives should never be, "We will do X and Y," even if you end up with a longer list of objectives.
