Set up your digital registration
- Every event needs a signup page. When setting up a virtual or hybrid event make it easy for people to register. You can do this by choosing a digital registration platform. Two popular options are Eventbrite and Ticketleap. Whether you choose one of these or a different platform, make sure these four features are available. You'll need a site that allows you to create a custom event landing page. This is a place where you can share all the details of the events, such as time and place, where to attend the event in person, and how to join virtually. You can also include information on how to be prepared, and feature event photos or other important visuals. The site should also have a built-in payment processing system so attendees can easily pay on the spot without having to go to another site. By eliminating extra steps for your attendees, you'll increase the conversion rate of signups. If this is a hybrid event, you also need a platform that allows you to offer different types of event tickets. People need the ability to choose between signing up in-person or virtually. They also require different types of instructions, depending on what ticket option they choose. The last feature to consider when choosing a digital registration platform is the tracking and analytics. Make sure the site allows you to capture emails and important contact information that you can use to follow up with attendees later. Both of the sites I listed, Eventbrite and Ticketleap, offer an easy way for you to download a list of your attendees and upload them right to your email database. Setting up a registration page is the perfect first step to successfully marketing your event. Done right, you'll be able to collect all the necessary information to grow your email database. Your current connections are gold when it comes to event marketing. So in the next video, let's talk about how to leverage your existing community.
