- Once the event is over, you have a great opportunity to follow up and show your appreciation to attendees while also marketing for future events. The most effective way to do this is by sending a follow-up email. Here are four things you can include in a follow-up email to your event attendees. Start by including bullet points of key takeaways from the event. This will serve as a valuable reminder of the important topics that were discussed. Next, include additional links and resources that you mentioned at the event such as books and websites for people to check out. I'm often suggesting products that help people make social media videos and content so I personally include a link to my Amazon store where I can share all the items I recommend.
