- [Instructor] Earlier in the course, we explored ways to curate content using Inoreader, perfect if you already know the websites you want to follow, but what about finding fresh topics and trends in the first place? That is where Google Trends comes in. If you're a marketer, staying current on popular search terms and topics can help you generate buzzing content and relevant ideas for social media, blogs and websites. Google Trends is also free to use, has a user-friendly interface, and is incredibly powerful for spotting what's trending online. When you access Google Trends, you'll see a snapshot of what's trending now. Scrolling down reveals stories and events people are searching for at the current time. You can also use the search bar at the top to type in a term or topic that you want to investigate. Once you search for something, let's say social media, Google Trends shows you a line graph labeled Interest over time, and here's how to read it. A value of 100 denotes peak…
