Here's a simple truth. You will have to work with people you don't like. That's inevitable, and it happens to all of us. Even worse, sometimes that person is your boss. Working for someone you don't like can be quite difficult, depending on how bad the relationship really is. It could be as simple as not feeling comfortable around someone, or as bad as feeling panicked. Worry or constantly angry. Well if this is you, you have a choice to make. You can choose to simply cope with the situation, or try to actively manage it. Coping refers to the rituals and habits you form to try and live with the relationship as-is. You might genuinely feel that you don't have the power or the skill to engage the person and change the relationship. I want to encourage you to seriously think about that possibility.
