Next steps
- I hope this course has shown you that a successful company must be really good at logistics. And that logistics managers are an important part of the success as they supervise key operations to ensure every customer's order is properly filled. Congratulations. You're well on your way to having a good understanding of logistics management. Now your job is to build on that foundation and become the logistics professional you want to be. If you'd like to learn more and go even deeper, I encourage you to join the Council of Supply Chain Professionals. Attend local chapter meetings and talk with other logistics folks about today's hot topics and issues. These local meetings always bring in experts to talk about current trends in logistics and is also a good network to have when you need to get some advice about a problem at work. The Council publishes an excellent magazine called "Inbound Logistics." This magazine will also keep you informed of current topics and research. Another great site is Logistics Management. They offer a free subscription to their magazine and electronic newsletters. Definitely have a look at this. These resources can help you get started down the right path. See where you want to go from there. I hope to hear many stories about the great ways your company manages logistics and I wish you much success in everything you do.
